Wool, Wiltshire and All Manner of Wonderful Things!

Unraveled Wednesday

Sub Title- Things to Share, hurrah!

A new book at last, just getting into it and really enjoying it. He writes such cosy murders you wouldn’t believe, unless you are already a fan.

As to knitting- I had a talk with myself and decided to just concentrate on one thing at a time, as a little on everything gave no satisfaction! Ok who is doing a Mick Jagger impression now?

Anyway Rabbit now has a body and the start of a head.. progress of sorts.

The sun is shining. I spent an hour in the garden on Monday. I have a crocus and a grape hyacynth in bloom and was visited by the first butterfly of the year– a small tortoiseshell. Spring is gearing up. Plus I have now booked someone to cut the hedges and fettle the back lawn and a window cleaner. Getting on, as my Dear Dad used to say.

How are you Getting on? I am joining with Kat and others for more books and yarn related topics. Link here-http://askatknits.com/2023/02/08/unraveled-wednesday-2-8-23/

  1. I’m keen to get a copy of this book as I have enjoyed the other two in the series

  2. I have just started “The Bullet that Missed” as I am a fan. Finally on the shelf in the library though it is still on a ‘Fast Back’, loan so I have to give it back in 2 weeks if another person has reserved it.

  3. Now I have to check these titles out! Currently reading A Time for Mercy by John Grisham. I have been knitting and working on more project clean up this week. Sewed the last potholder just now and will finish a sock tonight, so I am feeling very virtuous, but need to hang in another hour and sandwich another graduation quilt so it’s ready when the mood strikes!

  4. Richard Osman is so funny. I’m glad you’re enjoying this latest one! And I cant wait to see more of this rabbit 🙂

  5. You are FOR SURE getting on! And doesn’t the glimpse of spring sort of fuel it?! We are not there yet…but it’s okay. I’m still delighting in winter. (Thankfully!)

  6. Oh my goodness, busy day! Wow – can’t believe your garden is blooming already. It is snowing here, and more on the way.

  7. Am also on a long waiting list for this third Thursday Murder Club book. I do hope you can spend lots of reading time this weekend, and report back soon! 💕

  8. I loved the latest book. Such fun to see how the two ladies dealt with their predicament, and… well, I won’t say any more in case someone else plans to read it.

  9. I think we need a post with photos of your garden! Can’t believe you have a butterfly!

  10. No butterflies round here yet, it must be warmer where you are than it is up here. I’m glad the rabbit is coming along, I’m looking forward to seeing it when it’s finished 🙂

  11. Wow, you’ve seen a butterfly 🦋 , very envious, that is a sign of Spring. X

  12. Oh my! Blooming things are a ways off here yet…but they will come eventually. That rabbit will grow…can’t wait to see the end product!

    • It really has lifted my spirits to see signs of Spring. Nearly finished the head of the rabbit last night, makes sense to just concentrate on one thing at a time.

  13. My personal get-up-and-go is suffering from anemia, bleah. But I envy you yours; also the fact that you have actual spring (hyacinth, daffodil) while I am looking out the window at several feet of snow, and because you still have the Thursday Murder Club books to look forward to. I am waiting not so patiently for #4, still untitled.

  14. I am on a very long waitlist for the latest Thursday Murder Club book.. but I am moving up! I agree, they are such delightful books!

Your rabbit is coming right along as well! (and someone will get some satisfaction from that!)

I am envious of your blooming things and butterflies!

    • It took me five months to get to the top of the list at the library, and there are people waiting for it still, so I shall do a lot of reading this weekend. Seeing things I planted starting to come through is giving me such a boost. I couldn’t believe the butterfly, shouldn’t appear before March really.

  15. I read the Thursday Murder Club last year, very cosy mysteries, looking forward to reading the rest of the series soon. X

  16. I am really enjoying hearing of all your progress – I’m hoping some of your get-up-and-go rubs off on me. 🙂
    “I can’t get no ………” HaHa!!!
