Wool, Wiltshire and All Manner of Wonderful Things!

Friday Finish

Finally something woolly to share! A little matinee jacket- 4ply yarn with flowers, which I notice you can’t actually see from my rubbish picture.

It’s actually more mint green than washed out green.
but there is a nice sparkly button!

I am as you know a complete button fan! Going pink with my next knit.

  1. Awww! Gorgeous! It is a long time since I made a little jacket like that.

  2. Aw😍 this is so lovely😍

  3. That is so cute! Love the color and the flower pattern 🙂 And that button is perfect!

  4. It’s just gorgeous! I love the mint green color. You can always post another picture later with the flowers. It’s just too cute for words.

  5. What a sweet little jacket! Yes, more pictures please, this is too cute not to see it in all its glory!

  6. Oh it’s so cute!! I love the lacy sleeves, they look very elegant! That is just wonderful. 🙂

  7. Very cute. Love the colour, bit of a minty green fan myself when baby knitting

    • It made a lovely change. First time I have used it.

      • I hope the recipient likes it too. I sometimes use off white or cream as an alternative when knitting first blankets – both cream and mint seem acceptable if you don’t know if the new arrival’s a boy or a girl. I was given a hint once that if you knit ‘neutral’ you can add a ribbon bow to one corner in pink or blue when the baby is born, quite like the idea but haven’t done it yet. Or of course, if you are not knitting as a ‘surprise’ but are asked to knit a particular shade or pattern then there’s no guess work at all!

  8. Sweet jacket! Oh, I see the flowers just fine. The button and border are so lovely.

  9. This is so cute – the colour is lovely and the button is perfect,

lovely cardie! love the soft colour and the “lacey” finish down front and on cuffs.

  11. You didn’t retake the photograph. Has it already been sent to the recipient? Very pretty anyway.
