So here we are in Lockdown the Second, exercise is permitted, andstaying local is encouraged. So I am exploring my neighbourhood, and enjoying the last days of Autumn.

I have always walked up this road before, time to go down. On the right hand side was a mobile home site for the over 50s set in the grounds of an old Abbey.

To the left, the field wherein there are the roman ruins- houses at the bottom and the lane took me through this estate to a large road at the bottom which joins an even bigger road that goes all the way to Cirencester.

Great photos
Thank you.
Good photos of a lovely countryside – thank you, Cathy! Do you mind if I ask about what time of day you were walking? That last piccie looks about 5 or 6 PM over here – (1700 or 1800 your time). But I know your timings are different as you’re farther away from the equator.
It was between 3 and 4 pm- it’s getting dark by 4.30 now, depends on weather really.
You’re so right about weather — rain darkens everything even faster, doesn’t it. ๐ Thank you, Cathy!
Lovely scenery! Thank you for sharing ๐
Thank you for visiting.
Lovely pics.
Thank you.
What lovely views indeed! We are locked down again until Dec. 14 although in the spring they kept extending it so we will see. Fortunately I got some new waterproof boots so my walking can continue even as we are having more rain. Take care
We are locked down till Dec2, hoefully we will be allowed to do more after that- I have a new hair appointment booked for the 9th. You take care too.
Looks like you have some lovely lanes to explore, so happy to see you have these green spaces to enjoy!
I’m surprised by just how many walks there are to be had in a town.
Beautiful photos. We are entering our summer season here and in Melbourne Victoria today itโs going to be 31 degrees !
It would give me chills to walk by Roman ruins, I cannot wait to visit the UK someday and get my chills on! Thanks for taking us on your walk, very cool! ๐
You will get plenty of those if you come to visit.
I like the first photo, the autumn colours are lovely ๐
Thank you, but the leaves are falling in the wind.
It’s amazing when you start to explore how many hidden pockets of nature you can find even in an urban area.Lovely photos
So much to find still, hard to credit really.
Gosh, I can almost feel the chill. But also the wonderful smell of rotting leaves, fresh, damp vegetation and country air. Today in north Queensland we’ll be getting 30ยฐC…
That is just what it smells like, and last night when I took the bin and recyling down the driveway I could smell fox too. Enjoy your heat!
The heat I don’t mind, it’s the enormous humidity we have at the moment that makes it hard to take.
Beautiful pictures! How nice to have such pockets of nature in the city.
I am constantly surprised by what there is.
