Lovely day out despite the drizzle. I wondered if others enjoy farm visits and the chance to feed a goat or two?

Even though I was brought up on a farm and my daughters kids live on a farm and cuddle cows and calves almost daily, we all still love visiting kid friendly farms and stroking guinea pigs, even the ones with long ears 😉
It looks like Nana had a fabulous day.
My daughter would have loved this trip:)
Such fun with little ones.
Looks like a lovely day out! I grew up in an area surrounded by farms, so didn’t visit them so much as have them everywhere around me. But I do like going to the fairs that have an agricultural component and visiting the farm buildings.
I have really missed the agricultural/country shows this year- I know they have done virtual shows but they are not the same.
No, not the same at all!
What a great day out with the grands! Those donkeys look sweet. When the girls were little we just went to my parents…more than enough calves, cats, etc. to keep them happy!
Your girls must have adored those visits so much.
They did love going out with Grandpa and seeing the baby calves.
I bet.
Haven’t been to one for quite a while. Did see some nice rare breed sheep today though on a walk. And I have walked with llamas before which was fun. 🙂
I would love to walk a llama- maybe one day.
We’re very lucky – when I have small visitors I just take them to the farm next door. Sadly though the beautiful rare breed cattle have moved on to pastures new – I do have pictures of them though, so should paint them one day.
For sure you need to paint them, and maybe also a Highland cow?
I love Highland Cows – definitely one to paint 🙂
We had a farm similar to this near to us in West Sussex and, for a few years running, we held the girls’ birthday parties there. Lots of animal petting, haystack diving, tractor rides round the farm and party food on site afterwards. Ooh, I’m getting all nostalgic.
Oh exciting- I think we may have visited it too as it was quite near Horsham where the in-laws lived?
Looks fun. Sadly, it doesn’t look like we will be able to visit the farm and pumpkin patch this fall with all the restrictions from COVID
What a shame- this thing has really played havoc with lives.
Looks like an enjoyable visit, I love the donkeys 🙂 There’s an open farm not far from me with animals of all types, even a couple of llamas, and it’s always been a popular place to visit. I’ve never been as it’s not cheap to get in – £8 per adult, £7 per child but you can take your own picnic and stay as long as you want.
It isn’t cheap here either but we had special tickets fortunately. I am very fond of donkeys.
Those are guinea pigs?? They look like rabbits! Either way – they’re so cuddly and cozy. It looks like so much fun!
Serves me right for not looking properly, there were guinea pigs and rabbits!
Haha! They are LOVELY, whatever they are 🙂
My daughter would love this, she grins and squeals whenever she sees animals. Looks like a fun day out with the kids. 😊
It was good fun, really enjoyable.
Looks fun! A day out with grandchildren always good.
It’s the odd topics for conversation I like most with grandchildren.
Absolutely know what you mean. Master R (10) told me all about Greek Gods and Goddesses las time we were on a walk and then asked me which one I would be! We had fun putting all the family into the different characters! (he reads a LOT!)
umm rabbits, surely? rather big ears for guinea pigs lol.
Yes, we used to take our kids to petting farms when they were small – always a great day out!
Mmm,maybe there were rabbits and guinea pigs.
