Lovely day out despite the drizzle. I wondered if others enjoy farm visits and the chance to feed a goat or two?

  1. Even though I was brought up on a farm and my daughters kids live on a farm and cuddle cows and calves almost daily, we all still love visiting kid friendly farms and stroking guinea pigs, even the ones with long ears ๐Ÿ˜‰
It looks like Nana had a fabulous day.

My daughter would have loved this trip:)

  3. Looks like a lovely day out! I grew up in an area surrounded by farms, so didn’t visit them so much as have them everywhere around me. But I do like going to the fairs that have an agricultural component and visiting the farm buildings.

  4. What a great day out with the grands! Those donkeys look sweet. When the girls were little we just went to my parents…more than enough calves, cats, etc. to keep them happy!

  5. Haven’t been to one for quite a while. Did see some nice rare breed sheep today though on a walk. And I have walked with llamas before which was fun. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. We’re very lucky – when I have small visitors I just take them to the farm next door. Sadly though the beautiful rare breed cattle have moved on to pastures new – I do have pictures of them though, so should paint them one day.

  7. We had a farm similar to this near to us in West Sussex and, for a few years running, we held the girls’ birthday parties there. Lots of animal petting, haystack diving, tractor rides round the farm and party food on site afterwards. Ooh, I’m getting all nostalgic.

  8. Looks fun. Sadly, it doesnโ€™t look like we will be able to visit the farm and pumpkin patch this fall with all the restrictions from COVID

  9. Looks like an enjoyable visit, I love the donkeys ๐Ÿ™‚ There’s an open farm not far from me with animals of all types, even a couple of llamas, and it’s always been a popular place to visit. I’ve never been as it’s not cheap to get in – ยฃ8 per adult, ยฃ7 per child but you can take your own picnic and stay as long as you want.

  10. Those are guinea pigs?? They look like rabbits! Either way – they’re so cuddly and cozy. It looks like so much fun!

  11. My daughter would love this, she grins and squeals whenever she sees animals. Looks like a fun day out with the kids. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  12. Looks fun! A day out with grandchildren always good.

    • It’s the odd topics for conversation I like most with grandchildren.

      • Absolutely know what you mean. Master R (10) told me all about Greek Gods and Goddesses las time we were on a walk and then asked me which one I would be! We had fun putting all the family into the different characters! (he reads a LOT!)

Yes, we used to take our kids to petting farms when they were small – always a great day out!
