Wool, Wiltshire and All Manner of Wonderful Things!

With all my threads, and glue packed away I am sharing today something that made me smile. Only a farmer would do this to a lovely old car.

Fortunately in Thornton Dale two miles away we have a vintage car auction- maybe you caught it on TV- who knows this car may one day be rescued from the heap.

Scrap to make you happy- for more normal Scrap Happy posts pop over to Kate’s

If lockdown goes on much longer I will have to start unpacking!

Stay safe and well. xx

That’s certainly scrappy to me. =)

  2. We have CarHenge about 100 miles away in Alliance, NE. A bunch of scrap cars they turned on their ends to make a replica of your Stone Henge! That’s what your post made me think of!๐Ÿ™‚

  3. It escapes me – but keeps the blokes happy ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m sure they say the same about our creative endeavours ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I love shows where the old is made new and fresh! Great recycling on old cars!

  5. You are taking scrap happy to a whole new level. What fun. I’ve watched shows like that with my son and husbands. I love old cars and what can be done with them. Also my last husband used to take pieces and parts from old vehicles and make metal art of them. I guess you could call it scrapyard art. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I wish I still had a few pieces of his but his children demanded all of them.

    • Now I love scrap yard art as you call it. There are some fabulous steam punk articles about! I’m not surprised yor children wanted all the pieces.

Interesting post. I don’t know of a such a show in the US. What a labor of love!

  7. You are inventive, Cathy! Hadn’t thought, but you’re absolutely right about this scrap. I had a relative once who collected scrap and liked to display it on the front lawn… until neighbours and The City got testy. ๐Ÿ˜‰ hehee!

  8. ‘Bangers and Cash’? ‘Wheeler Dealers’?
    There’s a whole other world out there I haven’t encountered ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  9. I’d be much more interested in the tractors ๐Ÿ™‚ To be honest old cars don’t really do it for me but I do like watching Wheeler Dealers, though it annoys me when they sell things so cheap afterwards ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

  10. And there I was thinking I was going to see some stitching or knitting! ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. I wish we had Bangers ad Cash here. Half those cars were normal sights on the road when I were a nipper. Ages me a bit…

  12. Aw! Bless you. Must be a bit of a game trying to live half packed up. My hubby loves Bangers and Cash and I do find it quite interesting at times – but I find Wheeler Dealers more fun – makes me laugh at how much work Ed puts in and then the car’s normally sold for only a couple of hundred quid more than they paid in the first place.
