Could this actually be…

beginning to look a bit like a

what?

Can this possibly be..

looking suspiciously like a

Polar Bear

with the cutest face.

Two months in the making but got there! Just in time too.

Yarn is Sirdar Snowflake DK, pattern from the Knitting Network here The instructions are good there are just a lot of them and you really have to keep track of where you are as the yarn is almost impossible to frog.  And as for construction, you just have to have faith that it will work.

Onto the next project -sssh

  1. It’s ADORABLE!!!!

  2. How absolutely cuddly cute! This bear looks very soft and comforting. At first I was thinking bunny… But then he (or she) began to take shape. Very nicely done!

  3. What a cute little polar bear. Happy Christmas xx

  5. It is so cute! I love it!!!!

  6. He has such a sweet face? He also looks adorable soft and fluffy and cuddly, and I think Toddler J is a very lucky little person. Good work!

  7. What a beautiful bear with the loveliest of faces.

    • Thank you- he’s looking at me at the moment slightly wary, as if to say thank you, but I think I am in the wrong place! Soon to meet his forever friend.

  8. How lovely and interesting to see him gradually taking shape. The face is so appealing. I always find adding faces one of the hardest things to get right, you have done so well.

    • It was a bit of a relief when I joined the two halves together and saw a bear shape, but then it was onto the face and his under belly. The instructions were very good, very detailed, changing every four rows, and leaving marks all over the place. The face looks good because of the patttern- one of those where you have to take a leap of faith that all will be well if you just do what it says and stop trying to make sense of it as you go!

    Ohhhh so gorgeous

  10. What can I write that hasn’t already been written?! Agreeing with everyone except possible Lynn/Tialys… stuffed stuff ain’t my thing, but that yarn sounds interesting… Might need to investigate. 😉

    • The yarn is amazingly cuddly, very very soft but a bit of a wotsit to knit with.

      • A-humm… don’t suppose crocheting with it is easier… imagining a very fine base thread with fluff almost too thick to see the base thread… Sounds quite daunting!
All the more kudos to you for perservering❣️😘

  11. Who wouldn’t love this little fellow! Good job Cathy – the cutest cuddliest Polar Bear ever!! Happy christmas, (as I’m probably disappearing for a bit from now).

  12. Oh my he is adorable! Whoever he goes to live with will get much joy from him! He looks sooooo soft!

  13. Adorable, and definitely very huggable 🙂

  14. well done Cathy! he really is adorable!

  15. Adorable! It’s a shame he won’t get to me in time for Christmas though I’m happy to wait 😉🤣

  16. A triumph!!!! What an adorable face. That is one supremely huggable bear!
