Yarn, Yorkshire and All Manner of Wonderful Things!

Silent Sunday

Portland, Dorset , through the arch and

along the coastal path or

down to the bay or

up to the castle? No that is out of bounds. So back up the hill and off to a museum. More of that another day.

  1. Such beautiful photos. I really miss the UK landscapes and seeing places like this!

  2. You always walk in the neatest places. 🙂

  3. Gorgeous location and great photos!

  4. Such beautiful photos. Must be even more beautiful in person.

  5. Dorset is so lovely. When I stayed in Weymouth we didn’t really explore Portland. Your photographs make it look interesting.

    • I am very fond of Portland Bill. At the north end you have wonderful views of Chesil beach and Weymouth, and at the south there is the lighthouse, and in the middle there is the village of Portland and a rather good museum.

  6. The colors are so clear! Wonderful!

  7. Beautiful! Thank you for the tour.

  8. Oh, lovely! The first photo, with the arch, is exceptional!

  9. I am right in the middle! 🙂

  10. When were you there Cathy? I was in Bournemouth last week – we could have met in the middle.

    • We came home last Friday, the 12th I think! We were only there four nights, and both came down with tummy bugs. Not certain quite which restaurant to blame! All o now. I hope you had a good time in Bournemouth, it has a wonderful beach. When I was a child we went every year till I was about 8 years old.
