It’s the first Tuesday in the month so it’s time for joining in with the Window photo challenge hosted by Wild Daffodil
Here are the windows which caught my attention in May.
I love stained glass windows in churches, this however, is natures’ own stained glass, I just loved the new green foliage colouring the clear panes of glass.
We were having lunch in Shepton Mallet and I fell for this window display.
Did you spot the windows opposite through the window?
I just had to capture the mosaics on the window sills of the library opposite the restaurant.
Aren’t they wonderful?
Hope you liked my little selection, which is your favourite?

The mosaic window sills are great fun!
Oh my the creativity is wonderful in these sills! When I was in my 30s before I lost vision, I met an older woman (60s, like me now :o) who decorative painted everything- I mean everything in her house. Now I was getting close to doing this myself because I too love decorative painting but swore I’d never be so tacky as to have it everywhere! That- was what I thought at the time. Now I’m older and wiser and I say paint/decorate away! Every surface if need be! LOL!! Who’da thunk sills?? :o) I’m so glad they did! Its like the knitted chairs you showed! Creativity at its best! Nothing should be spared!
Couldn’t agree more. I forgot about the knitted chairs, they were great.
A beautiful view through a window is always my favourite though those mosaic sills are eye catchers and run a close second – such a lot of fun!
Wouldn’t the worldwide fun if all public buildings were decorated in some way
Definetly something to be encourages, passers by were stopping to look and smile, got to be a good thing.
I just love nature’s version! Any stained glass is beautiful, but this is perhaps the loveliest kind of all.
I agree.
They’re all lovely! Am torn between nature’s own green and the library’s charmingly whimsies! xx
The whimsies certainly make one smile, but I reckon ntaure has it.
Agreed!
For pure whimsy I love that last photo of the mosaic with, what looks like, 3 little pigs. Those sills are FUN!! You found some crackers this month Cathy.
Wouldn’t it be fabulous to make a stained glass window in those varies shades of green – beautiful.
Thanks so much for playing along, a brilliant selection!
It is amazing what you can find if you just look! They are indeed the three little pigs. Thanks for getting me to look.
🙂 xx
I’m with the (so far) majority but those window sill are amazing too.
I am rather glad because I did think no-one would understand the appeal , but of course I am with like minded people so I should have known.
Hi Cathy! I think I like the church window the best. You can’t get any better than the natural greens coming through those window panes. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Tamara
The trees did look so lovely with the sun coming through the leaves.
It’s hard to choose a favorite! I like the mosaic technique very much but I think the greens, showing through the church window, are gorgeous.
The green certainly did strike me too, and really added to the atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
