January Window

Wild Daffodil has a new photo challenge for 2019. Windows. That’s it. Share pictures of windows that caught your eye.

This one in Pickering made me smile.

So cute, I thought you might like to see the figures close up.

Aah!

I was on a walk on Boxing day which took me past the castle and a draughty window in the Mill Tower.

The lower one for the shooting of arrows and the upper one for the living quarters, presumably out of arrow range.

I wonder what windows I will find for February.

  1. A very sweet window display and I love that you can just go on a walk and there is a castle!

  2. Going over to check the challenge. I love it when people get creative with their window displays.

  3. Love the contrast in your windows, those little knitted figures are very cute! x

  4. Do you know the owner of that house in Pickering? Just wondering whether they minded you peering in through their window πŸ˜‰

  5. Love the knitted figures in your first window.

  6. Your photos are great

  7. Oh it looks like someone likes their knitting – Both them and you (and us of course lol)
What a great way to display their talent.

Not sure I’d have enjoyed life in a castle with those sorts of windows. I’m more the ‘close the door and windows’ to keep the cold air out’ sort of person.
Anyway I’m sure I have old and some new window ‘snaps’ lurking in the files somewhere so might take part in this challenge.

And Happy New Year to you and your family!

    • I know Sandra would be delighted for you to join in with the challenge. When it comes to windows, te more the merrier. Happy New year to you.

  8. Very cute! I am going to enjoy seeing your windows this month!

  9. I just love those kind of windows you find that people have decorated for the delight of anyone passing their house. I might join in with this as I am always taking pictures of windows. Happy New Year. x

    • It would be lovely if you did join the challenge especially as you are a veteran window spotter already. I am a dreadful old nose when it comes to windows, the challenge is perfect for me.

Ahh indeed for the window in Pickering. Happy new year Cathy.

  11. Interesting challenge. Maybe I will join in if I remember. Two great interpretations. X

  12. Now those figures are cute!
And then such a contrast with the ancient draughty variety.
Great entry. Looking forward to seeing what you find in February. πŸ™‚
