SAL- April 2016 update

Spot the difference time again.

This time

Farndale-2016 022

Can someone tell me who is stealing the time round here? Progress is slow I know, but there are so many changes of colour, it’s four stitches , then change, etc. This actually represents three hours of stitching! Must try harder, truth is I have been totally distracted by my fabric stash, more on that later this week.

Linking with all these lovely ladies, who have far more discipline than me to concentrate on one thing at a time, and do some really lovely stitching.

  1. I’ve been putting off opening my fabric stash bins because I know they will take over all of my spare time.

    • That’s so not a good excuse! I am loving my fabric stash right now, so many ideas, and so many good memories within them.

  2. This post points up why I’ve chosen to do needlepoint with lots of background area to fill of late. Those single or double stitches in one color drive me nuts! I also have a painted canvas in the queue that calls for many shades of one color. I’m seriously considering making some design changes on that one!

  3. That is totally ingenious, thanks for your idea. Really kind to share it. That’s why I love blogging.

  4. Do you work with several needles threaded with different colours? I’ve only recently learned to do that and it saves so much time. As for time running away…it happens to me as well, especially when I’ve got my head in crafting gear 🙂

  5. Getting lost in a fabric stash is something I know a lot about..:) Flitting from one thing to another is where I really excel so you aren’t alone there. Just enjoy what you are doing when you do it.

  6. Wow, so that flower grew so much without you knowing anything about it, eh? Gorgeous! May I please put in a request for the fairy’s face to get some work; I find her eyeless face a tiny bit worrisome..?

    slowly but surely . . . you’re getting there ^^

  8. Cross stitch is very slow compared to crochet!

  9. I can see where you’ve added to it, but don’t worry if you’re working on other projects and don’t have as much time for this. Just make sure you’re having fun 🙂

  10. Just one stitch here and one stitch there and one day it´s all finished 🙂

  11. Concentrate on one thing at a time??!!!! There are those who do and those who don’t – I know it would be better if I didn’t scatter my energies so far and wide, but it’s just not us is it Cathy. xx
