  1. https://ronovanwrites.wordpress.com/2016/02/06/baseball-stitches/ Not exactly what I had planned for my first time joining in, but here it is.

  2. […] had intended to enter the Photo Challenge hosted by Daffy and Melissa for Stitch this week, and I am going to use what I planned to. The only […]

  3. I may have seen one a long time ago. Thanks for this wonderful reminder!

  4. I’ve never darned a single sock! But that sweet little mushroom might tempt me….or not. 😉 Here is my submission for this week:

  5. I’m not a fan of mending, but that mushroom would make me smile when I had to do it. Here is my take: https://alookatthelittlethings.wordpress.com/2016/02/02/photo-challenge-stitch/

  6. I love your darning mushroom. i rather enjoy mending too, so long as the other projects I am working on are not too enticing!!

  7. I get a kick out of mending too Cathy. And now that I have discovered Boro, and see that it can be used in high fashion I’m going to dig out my darning mushroom, it is not as splendid as yours though !

  8. Denis sent me his link https://haikuhound.wordpress.com/2015/04/27/anzac-day/
As he says, his pictures are full of stitches.

  9. I’ve never seen one! I can imagine they’d have to be a special pair of socks to get darned!

    • I suppose you would now but I used to darn my husbands socks when we were first married, clothes used to cost far more than they do now a days.

  10. Love your darning mushroom. I haven’t seen one in years. Loved the handwork of darning but they don’t make socks to be darned anymore. Zero? Can you make the temperature drop? 😉

    • I don’t think I would like the temperature to drop so I could take a picture! I actually possess three darning mushrooms, but this is my favourite! Shows my granny had a sense of humour!

  11. What a lovely darning mushroom! I used to use an old hand cream pot! But then I discovered that once they needed darning socks were on the way out and stopped bothering. 😉

  12. I have never heard of or seen a darning mushroom. How cute!
