SAL- July Update

Gardening and trips away have meant less time for cross stitch . But some stitching has occurred and were I not in the SAL I know it wouldn’t have happened. Being in the group is really helping me stay focused. I had ground to a halt last time when I hadn’t got one of the threads I thought I had. So I substituted it and I think I have got away with it. I am working on a Birth Sampler for my grandson Master H, he is 7 now and its high time I gave him this. The design is based on the Percy the Park Keeper books by Nick Butterworth.

Here is the birth sampler last time I posted.

The mice are well under way.

And hopefully completed by the next update in three weeks.

Please visit all the other participants in the SAL below. We are in different time zones so all may not have posted yet.

  3. Thank you. I have really started to appreciate the value of the SAL

  4. Cute mice 🙂

  5. I love the sampler. I can no longer cross stitch and wish my daughter would take it up. She can see and can do it. I love the outcome. I’ve started doing some hand embroidery at night again with a very good light behind me. As soon as I get a few moments, I’ll take some photos. Then share my mistakes.:) Master H will greatly appreciate all your hard work…one day. :))

  6. Cute mice. Yep, all progress is good 🙂

  7. I think you´ve done a good work. The mices are so cute 🙂

  9. I think Master H will be at a better age to appreciate all of your hard work on this project by the time he gets it. The mice are looking great 🙂

  10. Cute little mice 🙂

  11. You got a lot done there! At this rate you’ll have this finished in no time.
