Yarn, Yorkshire and All Manner of Wonderful Things!

InSpirational Sunday

I am a bit surprised by how many different denominations of faith we have in Pickering, North Yorkshire. The population is less than 10,000, but we still have lots of different churches.

Anyway without further ado, here is the Quaker place of worship.

If it looks at all familiar the building is used for the Vintage and homespun fair twice a year.

Been away this weekend and only just got back, so apologies for this late post.

Linking with Inspired Sunday for some more delightful buildings

  1. we have friends that are Quakers … what a cool place. i really enjoy the stone work. i can’t wait to see what you come up with next. ( :

  2. Quaker churches in the U.S. that «Louis» is familiar with are also simple in design like this.

  3. I’ve always respected the Society of Friends – my best friend in infant school was the son of the headmaster at Ackworth School which gave me access to the grounds that were denied to some other village children.
